How to Apply for Humanitarian & Compassionate Consideration
Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) applications are special applications for permanent residency (PR). For people who are unable to qualify for PR through economic or family streams (e.g. inadmissibility), you may qualify for PR on H&C considerations.
Factors
To be eligible for Humanitarian and Compassionate Considerations the factors that will be assess include:
- how settled the person is in Canada
- general family ties to Canada
- the best interests of any children involved, and
- what could happen to you if we do not grant the request.
- take approved language tests for: writing, reading, listening, speaking
- describe the test results in your Express Entry profile
